"The Amazing Grace"
The intro to this song is so cool. It sounds like it came out of an action movie, and leads perfectly into the song. I especially enjoyed the low strings in accompaniment, as well as the flute parts. Something rare we hear in this song that we don’t normally hear in other songs is the harmony part. It brings a balance of different vocal ranges that we don’t often see.
This song is also a brilliant reminder of why Jesus died on the cross for us. Many times we forget that we are not deserving of all the beauty we see in life. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, who fought for us every step of the way, even beyond the cross. He carried the cross, on which He was killed for our sins, in exchange for an eternity with Him.
He was shackled by sin so we could be free.
He wept to wipe our tears away.
He suffered to bring us blessing.
But most of all, He died so that we could live.
